Farm News

The farm normally seems quieter in the depths of winter, but there are lots of jobs to catch up on - repairing machinery, trimming hedges, (we only trim a portion in each year to leave food and cover for wild birds), and other maintenance.

Now that it is cold, the slugs have stopped eating the crops but now it's the pigeons' turn to snack on the oilseed rape.

Our Hampshire Down ewes have justed started lambing, with the rest of the flock lambing in March. All the cattle are growing well, and the cows, which are still out at grass, will start calving next month - Aberdeen Angus, produced for the pub and Belgian Blue for the supermarkets and butchers

THE BAR is open 7 days a week:

Monday to Friday 11am-11pm (10.50pm last orders)

Saturday 11am-12pm (last orders 11.50pm),

Sundays 11.30am-10.30pm (last orders 10.20pm)

MEALS ARE SERVED:

Lunch is served: Monday - Friday 12-2.30pm

Saturdays 12-3pm & Sunday 12-4pm, (No evening meals served on Sundays)

Evening Menu is served: Monday - Thursdays 7.00-9.00pm

Friday & Saturdays 7.00-9.30pm

Well behaved Children and dogs are welcome!

Facilities are available both for the less able and for mothers and babies.
High chairs are available.
There is no children’s menu, but where possible children’s portions can be provided.
Sample menus and set buffet options are available for parties, weddings, birthdays, Chrsitenings and team buidling events
The field adjacent to the pub can be avaible for hire for team buidling activity events etc, and we can help design and prepare a package for you.
