Farm News

The farm normally seems quieter in the depths of winter, but there are lots of jobs to catch up on - repairing machinery, trimming hedges, (we only trim a portion in each year to leave food and cover for wild birds), and other maintenance.

Now that it is cold, the slugs have stopped eating the crops but now it's the pigeons' turn to snack on the oilseed rape.

Our Hampshire Down ewes have justed started lambing, with the rest of the flock lambing in March. All the cattle are growing well, and the cows, which are still out at grass, will start calving next month - Aberdeen Angus, produced for the pub and Belgian Blue for the supermarkets and butchers

 

This is our Evening Menu, launched October 2008.   During the day we also offer a 'Bar and Lunch Menu' Monday to Saturday and Sunday's we serve a traditonal Sunday Roast Menu.
